Use of City Playgrounds and Parks

The current information related to the COVID-19 virus is that it does have the ability to survive on hard and soft surfaces for some time after it is transferred, including playground and park equipment.

The City does not have the ability to disinfect any playground or park equipment in the City and thus recommends against use of either due to the potential to contract and spread the COVID-19 virus.

Use of any playground, park or other municipal property shall be done at your own risk with no promise that the playground, park or property is disinfected or safe from the COVID-19 virus. Persons using parks and playgrounds are advised to also maintain proper quarantine/social distancing procedures.
For quarantine/social distancing recommendations and procedures please see here.
