The City hosts a budget meeting workshop each year prior to the adoption of the yearly budget. That meeting was scheduled and noticed for 03-26-2020 at 6pm, during the February Regular Meeting of the City Council. The City will also be discussing and taking action on the upcoming fire station project including the contractor bidding and the issuance of bonds for that project.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Office of the Governor has issued Executive Order 2020-15, which temporarily enables local governments to hold meetings that do not strictly adhere to the requirements of the Open Meetings Act, so that the local government can maintain the health and safety of both the board and staff members and also the health and safety of the public. Therefore, the City will be holding the next several board meetings without the normal public access that members of the public regularly enjoy.
To enable members of the public to follow along and participate in these meetings, the City has elected to host a ZOOM meeting for each one, each ZOOM meeting can be accessed either by telephone or by computer web camera and microphone. The public can choose to give public comment during the meeting via ZOOM or the public can make comment via e-mail prior to the meeting by e-mailing the City Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org
