The Cedar Springs City Council has passed the following recreational marihuana business ordinances. The City will be putting together information related to its licensing process and zoning requirements over the next several weeks for marihuana businesses to review and consider. However, the basics are that the City will issue an unlimited number of licenses to the permissible marihuana establishments, subject to the listed zoning controls and also Special Land Use Planning Commission review and approval. Once a proposed marihuana establishment receives Special Land Use Approval from the Planning Commission, it will receive the proposed municipal licensure upon payment of the license fee and submission of all material required by the City Clerk.
The following map shows an estimated 1000 foot separation distance from pre-existing schools. This map is not definitive and all distances shall be reviewed as part of the site plan review process.
