New legislation approved by the State Legislature's final session day of 2014 required public bodies to establish specific written procedures and guidelines for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Nominating petitions for one four-year seat on the Cedar Springs City Council are available in the office of the City Clerk, located at Cedar Springs City Hall, 66 S. Main St. To take out a petition, you must be a qualified elector of the City and a citizen of the United States.
