The City is required to monitor its drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. During September, 2015 a routine water sample tested positive for total coliform bacteria. The post office does not forward utility bills so if we do not have a forwarding address, you may not receive your bills in a timely manner. The Kent County Sheriff Department Cedar Springs Unit would like to remind the residents of Cedar Springs of the city Parking Ordinance 36-86. This ordinance states: Sec. 36-86 Overnight Parking on Streets from November 1 to April 1 (a) No motor vehicle shall be parked on any street within the city after 3:00 a.m. and prior to 6:00 a.m. between November 1 of any year and April 1 of the following year. Morley Park Pavilion Dedication
A dedication ceremony for the Morley Park Pavilion will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Morley Park. The pavilion was constructed, planned and funded through the efforts of Kevin Galloway as his Eagle Scout Project. Kevin raised over $18,000.00 in donations to construct the project. Through the efforts of community volunteers and local business owners the pavilion was constructed this past summer. Kevin also plans to purchase picnic tables for use in the pavilion.
