Rebecca Johnson was hired as the City Clerk for the City of Cedar Springs in September of 2016. She married her husband Flynt in May 2018. She currently resides with her husband and two dogs in Sand Lake, MI.
Rebecca grew up in Cedar Springs and has been an active member of the community for many years. She participated in the National Honor Society, served on the 2007 Red Flannel Court, and graduated with honors from Cedar Springs Public Schools.
She has a true passion for helping others. She graduated Cum Laude from Central Michigan University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Family Studies and Psychology with a minor in Leadership.
Rebecca continues to help others as a public servant for the City of Cedar Springs. She is a member of the Kent County Clerks Association, Michigan Municipal Clerks Association, and the International Institute for Municipal Clerks. Rebecca became a Certified Michigan Municipal Clerk in March of 2019.
In her spare time, she enjoys camping, crafting, and volunteering as a member of the Cedar Springs Women’s club.
