How can I obtain an accident report?
All police records services can be obtained by visiting Kent County Sheriff’s Department at the following locations:

Monday and Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
These services include, but are not limited to:
- Police Reports (active cases are not released)
- Freedom of Information Requests
- Gun Permits
- Sex Offender Registry
- Fingerprints
- PBT’s
Citizens may also retrieve and print accident reports by providing the accident date and report number. Visit: https://www.accesskent.com and click on “online services”
Once there, click on “Accident Report” and follow the simple directions provided.
How do I file a police report?
Citizens can call 616-632-6100.
Citizens are also able to file a police report online by visiting: www.kcsdonline.com
There are several different incident types that can be entered online. Please just follow the simple directions provided on the website.
