In conjunction with the Regular Downtown Development Authority meeting on
Monday, March 30, 2020
The purpose of the meeting is to share the goals, plans, and to discuss future plans in the DDA district. The board will also address and any other business that may come before the board. The regular meeting of the Downtown Development Authority will be held immediately following the informational meeting.

PLEASE NOTE: To mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, protect the public health, and provide essential protections to City of Cedar Springs residents; the City of Cedar Springs boards and commissions are conducting all meetings by video teleconference with limited public access to participate at the meeting location in accordance with public health gathering crowd size limitations, social distancing recommendations and Michigan Governor’s Executive Order 2020-21. The Cedar Springs Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was created in 1990 as a means to halt property value deterioration and to increase property tax valuation, where possible, in the City’s business district. The basic purpose of the CSDDA is to reestablish and maintain the vitality of the Central Business District. Basic components of the plan include parking, commercial development and building renovation.
The City’s DDA has worked hard to improve the image of the downtown area by initiating a streetscape renovation and the development of a Downtown Facade Program which awarded grants to downtown business people who wanted to improve the look of their building’s facade. The facade grant program resulted in over $519,000 of private investment in the downtown corridor.
